Good morning, good morning, we've slept the whole night through and hope that you have too (love that film).
Its definitely nippier and we have gone to the next tog level on the duvet scale. We are at level two now and I hope we don't get to level four which is a 15 tog but I'm sure it will make an appearance before we see Spring again.
I have entitled the post as is as I could not get the pic of the card I originally wanted to post, to download. Technology eh?
Thanks for your lovely comments on my last post. I shall not rush to do another faux leather item as it was a bit of a faff and I have a low faff threshold. Should do more with the CD but I'm now attached to my GC and will need to be surgically removed from it.
And now for some messages for my sponsors.
Firstly, a big welcome to the pond for Christine http://christinescardsandcrafts.blogspot.co.uk).
You get to recognise names as you are floating around blogland and try and visit other folk as and when you can but sometimes you forget where you've been and where you meant to be going next hahaha !!!
Val, I do remember being allowed to stay up and watch Hill Street Blues sometimes. I used to love the theme music and the meowing kitten at the end. . . . . . ask me to remember what I did yesterday, no chance but a meowing kitten from a 80's tv show, that I remember lol !!!
Lydia, I only know what I've been told by someone else so I can't really say except that it was her decision.
Kate, yes I will be going to see Rush but as its out on Friday 13th, I'll leave it until next week. The good luck has been in rather short supply of late so I'm taking no chances on Friday. . . . . .in fact, I may just stay in bed lol !!!
Jackie, all those aches and pains; I always said exercise is not good for you lol !!! Does sound fun though. Agree Sunday was a good result for Mark. I shall miss his candidness when he leaves at the end of the season. Sadly, not one of the greats but a thoroughly decent chap.
Now, todays card. I've done variations on this theme but decided to stick with the one die set on this one. It was made for Nesta Vipers to give to our friend who is moving to Wales (She got the buddleija card from me)
Cream linen card cut to a 6x6 card base. The corner die from SB Botanical Swirls and Accents was cut four times out of pink card and stuck to the base card. The scrolly and fancy square dies from this set were cut from cream linen card and on the scrolly one, I inked through the die with Spun Sugar Distress Ink and then Dusty Concord too so there is almost a shadow effect. I then inked the edges with Spun Sugar.
I stamped the sentiment in Spun Sugar and quickly sprinkled with Cosmic Shimmer clear embossing powder and heat set. I then lightly inked over the die cut and its edges with Spun Sugar.
Both foam padded onto the card and job done.
Hope you all have a great day. I'm off to the cinema to see Jadoo with Nesta then lunch and a girlie catch up. Enjoy whatever you do today.

Good morning Ang,
ReplyDeleteI am staying out of the pond my feet are too cold............had the heating on for an hour last night.
Love, love, love your card. ...thought you had a "low faff threshold" I don't think so!!! You need plent of "faff" to create this wonderful card.
The colours used are beautiful the whole thing is so sweet.
Have a fantastic day
Hugs

ReplyDeleteGood morning Ang. Your card is gorgeous, love the colours you have used.
Enjoy your day out, I am off to meet up with Patricia this morning. Have to get the cards from her to go with the gifts I made, I agree with you she will have her hands full, Tammy says they are two of the sweetest little girls and number three will likely be the same.

Good morning. It's certainly getting much cooler here in Oxfordshire too. In fact we lit the woodburner last night. I refuse to be cold in my own home, even though September seems very early to light fires. Love your card. The dies and the gentle colours are lovely. Enjoy your day. Christine xx
ReplyDeleteLovely card Ang. Hope you have a lovely time at the pictures. Last time I went (probably when they were still silent films) I fell asleep and my friend had to nudge me because I was snoring - hope you don't have the same problem!
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday

Lovely card Ang. really like the 4 triangle made into a square. I've used 2 at either corner but must try this.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to the cinema for such a long time. When I lived in the UK my friend and I used to go every Tuesday as it was a cheap night. We always found something to watch and fortunately we liked the same things. Have a great time.
Off for a MRI scan today. A tad nervous as I get quite claustrophobic and I think I'll have to keep my eyes tightly shut. Fortunately they give you a button to press if it gets too bad but I know it won't come to that.
Enjoy your day.
Love Val x

Good morning Ang, what a pretty card for your friend's friend. I have these dies but have only used them a couple of times since I bought them so they could do with an airing as your card shows how beautiful they are. Hope you are having a good day out with Nesta, best wishes Jackie
ReplyDeleteHi Ang,
ReplyDeleteLovely card, the corner dies are so versatile, I borrow these from a friend when I need them, we do sharing which helps with the cost.
