Good morning my little duckadees. Hope you have defrosted after the cold snap.
Glad you liked my Christmas card and hope that some of you may have got a Lidl bargain.
If I come across any more bargains, I shall pass them on.
Jackie, hope your Mum is ok and that you are back. Are you going somewhere warm for your hols next month?
After persuasion from John, I am entering the House of Cards Classic and Elegant Challenge (not two words that you would normally associate with me but challenge, possibly hahaha!!!)
You have to use at least 3 of the colours featured on this picture . . . . . . .
so I have gone for the lilac, plum/purple and the white.
The base card is an A4 plum card, Hougied in half to A5. I then cut a slightly smaller mat out of white card and ran it through the Cuttlebug Kassies Brocade embossing folder, twice to extend the pattern.
I cut the largest die from the SB Majestic Labels 25 out of lilac card and cut the frame to fit within the white mat. The edges are inked with Dusty Concord distress ink.
On the middle piece of the die cut, I stamped the Kanban Rose stamp in purple pigment ink and heat embossed with Cosmic Shimmer clear embossing powder. The edges of this were also inked with Dusty Concord.
The white embossed mat is stuck flat to the base card and the lilac frame is foam padded onto this. I then popped the stamped shape into the middle and stuck it flat so that the frame is raised around it.
I stamped the sentiment onto more lilac card with the purple pigment ink and heat embossed again. I cut around it with a fancy edged pair of scissors and foam padded it to the card along with a white organza ribbon triple bow.
A bit of bling and job done!!!
As I said, I'm entering this into House of Cards Classic and Elegant September Challenge so lets hope I've done this linking mularky correctly and fingers crossed.
Singapore GP this weekend, woo hoo!!! Wish I was at Lau Pau Sat chewing on a few satay sticks with an ice cold Tiger right now.Have a great weekend folks, whatever you are up to.

Hi Ang quite agree on Lau Pau Sat. Been there and loved it way back in 1996. Hubby's ship was in Singapore and he took me round his old haunts only to find a lot had changed. He was very disappointed but I loved it.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your lovely card and hope it does well in the challenge.
