Good morning one and all. Brrrrr . . . . . .hasn't it got nippy ? Don't worry Patricia, I'm working on that Duck House. I thought of contacting that MP who claimed for one in that expenses scandal. Thought he may do me a deal hahaha !!!
Val, I know exactly what you mean but I think Sue kept her in check and Elaine, good idea about the volume switch.
Maggie, we have a strict door policy at the pond but I can assure you, you are on the guest list lol !!! It would be lovely if you were brave enough to show us your bits (crafty ones that is, tee hee!!!) but it took me nearly a year to pluck up the courage.
Christine, we have cats, foxes, hedgehogs, squirrels, a frog and Mr and Mrs B (our resident blackbirds) and occasionally next doors' escaped rabbit but never a cow in the garden. Catching the rabbit is sight to behold, only missing the Benny Hill chase music to accompany the task hahaha!!!
Now, today, I'm getting a bit festive. I was fishing around in my box of stamps and came across some Christmassy ones I had bought earlier in the year from Hobbycraft in a sale.
I started with a 6x6 card base cut from white hammered card. I then cut a slightly smaller mat out of red card and then another, slightly smaller mat out of more white hammered card. I punched the corners of the white mat with a Dovecraft Holly Punch and saved the waste.
I stamped a leaf stamp (brand not known as it was in my car boot bargain box of stamps) across the top with Versamark and then heat embossed with Debbie Moore Gold Embossing Powder.
I then stamped my first bauble using red pigment ink and heat embossed it with Cosmic Shimmer Clear Embossing Powder. I then masked it off and stamped another behind and heat embossed then same with the third. Next time, I think I won't ink up the sticky out bits on the top two baubles as its a bit sticky out bit overload methinks.
The sentiment is an Indigo Blu stamp and this was gold heat embossed. I coloured the bows with a Gold Metallic Promarker and drew gold lines from the top to meet the baubles.
All layers added to the base card, stuck flat and the holly waste added to the corners. Lastly, I went around the edge of the red layer with the gold promarker, with a ruler, a wing and a prayer lol !!!
A fairly quick one to mass produce.
Hope that it does warm up again. Its far too early for wintery conditions. The weather needs to be reminded its still only the middle of September.
Have a great day folks and remember, if you can't be good, blame someone else !!!

ReplyDeleteGood morning Ang. A very cold morning here with frost on the car - yes frost, how dare it. That means I will have to get up 10minutes earlier to factor in defrosting the car and it's to dark to get up before 6am as it is.
I just love your Christmas card, it's so festive.

Morning Ang. Love the crisp red and white of your gorgeous Christmas card. I love this. Christine
ReplyDeletePS The single cow makes a change - we once had the whole herd some years ago! The farmer had to come in and use his roller to sort out the lawn!! It's just a pain to keep the gate shut all the time, especially in this weather. Love from Christine xx
What a lovely cheery Christmas card. Love the masking technique and the cute corner punch.
ReplyDeleteI love the way you present your cards with the scruffy edged (I'm sure there's a nicer expression) news print behind.
Love Val x
Good morning Ang, like Val I'm impressed by your background and the curls in the corner. I'm more than impressed by your card though, really cheery and all that Christmas should be. Sorry I missed your last one, was down with mum and am going back tomorrow so will be missing another but will catch up in due course. Hope everyone stays warm, it's a bit nippy here evenings and mornings, I even had to put the fire on for a couple of hours last night and thought I would last until after my holiday next month!! Best wishes Jackie

ReplyDeleteAng, it wasn't a wasted trip to Lidl as I was going anyway, needed fruit and veg, plus Beth loves the wellies from there and they had then in. So definitely wasn't a wasted trip.
Thanks for telling us they had it in just a pity it wasn't the 12x12 stuff.
