Good afternoon one and all. Hope you are all well. My forehead still has a dent and even though there's no bruise, its still sore. I should explain, for those who thought "why didn't the daft mare put the light on?" the drawers in question are next to the bed and I must have been right on the edge and I pitched forward as I got up and no light in reach.
Now, today's card is for the House of Cards 5th week challenge (please click here to have a look) which is a photo inspiration challenge and here's the photo. . . . . . . .
Now, typical me, I picked out the bolder colours from the photo for my creation.
The base card is white and A5. I topped this with a lovely bright blue PMD card and used a Hobbycraft flower border punch on the top and bottom edges.
I cut the Striplet (sorry, I'm still in addiction therapy) from a strip of more blue card and matted it onto lime green PMD card and then white. This was then added to the left hand side of the blue base.
Then I cut lots of the HC Delicate Asters from white card, shaped them and dusted the tips with Broken China Distress Ink and added green bling to the centres. The leaves were cut from more lime green card.
The sentiment tag is one of the SB Fancy Tags, heat embossed in white. I put this slightly above centre, then arranged the flowers above and below.
Bling added to the corners and tag ends and voila!!!
It was nice to use the bright zesty colours. Hope you didn't need sunglasses hahaha!
That's all today folks. Hope you feel inspired to enter the challenge but please pop and have a look at what my talented team mates have come up with.

Good morning/afternoon Ang, sorry I have been missing inaction for a few days. Went on a Hougie Workshop on Friday which was very good, church Easter fayre on Saturday, Sincerely Yours show at Thetford yesterday - and a phone call this morning to say I had won one of the raffle prizes!! And now a lovely summery card to brighten up this funny day, its warm here and the washing is moving slightly but it is very grey and looks like rain. Your NEC stash looked interesting, all I really went for yesterday was card for a workshop but a few other bits did just slip in. Young Lewis did well yesterday didn't he - but I did find myself fast forwarding the tape at times!! Bye for now, Jackie
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Ang, love that die and will have to borrow Johns. Adore the flowers too, xxxx

ReplyDeleteOh poor you Ang, Alistairs's side of the bed sounds the same as yours with the chest of drawers right up against it and I'm aslways afraid he will toss and turn and whack his head of it, but there is nowhere else to put it,I hope your head pain goes soon.
ReplyDeleteLovely card, and typical you to take the bold colours, but, I love your card and it's design, and the shades of colours are fabby, take care, hugs Kate x
Good afternoon Ang , love your card and your choice of the two bold colours is great, and of course the Asters are beautiful I think no matter what colour or card they are cut from they always look good. Hope the head gets better soon. Hazel xx

ReplyDeleteHope the head is on the mend.
John is nursing a bruise and a black eye. Thomas and John tried to header a football, both missed and banged heads.
You would think a grown man would have more sense .......... !!!!
Enjoy the rest of your day
