Good morning my blogging chums. Hope all is well with you and yours. Been a busy week at this end of The Pond, hence my tardiness. I'm sure next week won't be any better. . . . .Bank Holiday and Half Term, I can just imagine what state Arts and Crafts will be in lol!!!
Thank you for your super comments on my last two creations and thank you to Judy, Judith, Mrs B and Ruth for popping by. Hope you can visit again soon.
Jackie, hope you got your accounts done as I think I read you are off on your travels again. Sandy, in the UK, Harvesters are a chain of pub restaurants that have a rather nice salad cart. If you fancy popping over in Nov for the craft show, myself, Christine and the Scottish Posse will show you a good time. . . . . . .Hmmmm, that didn't come out quite right but I know what I meant lol!!!
Now, when we met at the NEC in March, Sue from Planet Susie (with the kaftan wearing cat with a substance abuse problem) kindly gave myself and Christine a bar of choccy each, as a gift, wrapped in this gorgeousness. . . . . .
I didn't want to throw it away so I popped it into a drawer then saw that Christine had made a card with her wrapper, so I thought I would do the same.
I have no clue what papers Sue used. I just added the trimmed paper to an A5 base of teal PMD card and a few light embellishments.
Recycling or upcycling, never sure if they are different or the same but I'm sure that this card is one of em!!!
Have a wonderful weekend folks and spare a thought for those of us who are having to work - boo hoo!!!

Brilliant recycle Ang. Love that paper, great card. Busy here for the next few days, I have to make a start on getting ready for Thursday and I have full days at work even working Thursday no rest for me till I get on that plane. Hazel xx
ReplyDeleteUpcycle? Recycle? Just as long as you wear your helmet to prevent injury if you fall does it matter .... lol! Your card looks great, and the colours are gorgeous - very you! I was supposed to be going to Scarborough next week to meet up with the two Sues again for more mayhem, but my nephew and his children are coming at the same time so I had to cry off and miss the fun! Hugs Christine xx
ReplyDeleteGood morning Ang,
ReplyDeleteLove the fact you have "re-used" (throwing another word into the mix) that wonderful wrapper.
Stunning colours now transferred into a stunning card.
Hope you manage to enjoy a little of your Holiday Weekend.
Apart from the Banks being closed makes no difference in this part of the world!!!
Might have a paddle later if the sun keeps shining
Hugs a plenty

ReplyDeleteLmaooo @ substance abuse problem lol Ang!!! Fantastic use of that lovely paper I'm meeting Sue P at Scarborough next Wednesday lol have a great bank holiday huggles Sue xxx
ReplyDeleteVery close Elaine H - they are from Brenda Pinnick (I think they both do things for K and Co). I had never used the papers until I wanted to wrap the bars of choccy for you all. It certainly looks good as a card though - I am going to find them again - well they are in my cupboard .......... somewhere! So glad that you up ... re... cycled the paper.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you Sue Pxxx (Blossom says Hiiiiiiii)
Hey Ang --- your card is gorgeous with the most beautiful colors.
ReplyDeleteI would give anything if I could pop over there in November - I am hyperventilating just thinking about it. I am not saying no right now as the chances are slim but I am keeping an open door just in case!!!!

Hi Ang. Love how you have reused (I don't know the difference between re and up cycling either!) the choc bar wrapper, so pretty : ) Mmm, I love Harvester Salad cart, their blue cheese dressing is yummy. Take care.

What a fantastic make from the choccie wrapper, Ang!! I love it! I think it's a recycle if you toss it out and it will be recycled by your waste company; it's an upcycle if you repurpose something and make it into something else. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong. They are both commendable, but especially if they end up as a card like this!! Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty delicate looking card...colours are super too...My big 'reach 550' candy is on...
