Good morning everyone. Hope you are all ok and safe and warm.
Its been very brrrrrrrrrr here and there are times my feet have been colder than a penguin's chuff !!!
I must welcome 2 new followers, Sandra and sadly, Blogger is not telling me who the other is (bad Blogger!) I notice that there are some new ladies who have kindly left comments so if the other is one of you, thank you and hope you can pop by again soon.
Now today its time for another challenge at MAWTT and this weeks challenge has been set by my team mate Debs and it is. . . . . . . . . Button It !!!
So, lets see all of your fabulous creations using buttons.
Those of you who have been paddling at The Pond for a while, you will know that buttons are not my thing so even though I'm on the DT, it is a challenge for me too lol!!!
I decided to go down the route of using them as the centres of some flowers so I plumped for the HC Delicate Asters.
Ingredients
White base card (Lime Tree Crafts)
Lime green and dark green PMD card
Green Lidl card
HC Delicate Asters
That Special Touch Delicate border masks x2 (to emboss the pattern on the card)
Papermania buttons
Green teeny bling
Memento Dew Drop Bamboo Leaves ink pad
Crafters Companion sentiment
I cut the medium aster die at equal intervals out of the strip of lime green card and the smaller one out of 3 pieces of Lidl green card. I then lined them up and stuck them under the lime strip. This was foam padded on top of a dark green strip, beneath the white embossed layer.
It would be lovely to see some of you join in the challenge but please pop had have a look here at what us DT gals have come up with.
My voice is back (bad luck Mr D lol!) but my throat is still sore, but, bizzarrely only on the right hand side when I swallow.
I thought it was hilarious that some of you thought my F1 dates were holidays I had coming up. Oh, if only lol! Think if I get as far as Silverstone on my hols, I'll be lucky lol!
Well, tttthats all folks. See you soon.

I just love that green - always my favourite colour - such a pretty effect and fab buttons too! hugs judith x
ReplyDeleteAng, this is stunning, that white and green colour combo with your aster flowers, I love using buttons for the centre of my flowers too. Good for you coming out of your comfort zone re buttons. Not good about you still having a sore throat, I think there are so many bugs on the go that our body's just can't cope. Roll on spring, Patricia and I even looked at a week away some where warmer now. As we are both needing some sunshine. Take care Haxel xx
ReplyDeleteYou hve done it again, it is brill, love your design and although I,m not a green person I love this one, xxxx
ReplyDeleteLove the CAS aspect of your card Ang. I tend not to use buttons much and when I do it is often like you as the flower centres. The green really zings. Christine x
ReplyDeleteI think this card is so sweet, the buttons are very effective, what a great idea.

Nice, simple buttoned card Mrs D. Not quite sure about green flowers, but it's the inspiration that counts.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant card, love the colours and the use of the "buttons" ....... love my buttons!!
ReplyDeleteTell you what Ang you definitely need a pair of "UGGS" no cold feet here even when out in the snow.
I have a pair of UGG slippers, so UGGS all day for me. Not the most glamorous but man!! they sure are the warmest.
Be back in the open toes and heels soon though ....... well we can live in hope!!
Hope the throat gets better soon
Hugs

Ohhh this is brill, I love the bright green, makes me think of cosy days and not the freezing we have just now. Hope your throat is totally better soon, Love Hazel xx
ReplyDeleteHi Ang. I love the card, I'm not a big green fan but this one works for me. I love buttons and have rather a lot : ) Sorry to hear that your throat is still bad, I hope it clears up very soon. Take care.
ReplyDeleteHi Ang,
ReplyDeleteEvery cloud has a silver lining. Stuck in bed with the dreaded virus and I've found lots of lovely new sites from Sue's blog. Got to say that I've been in stitches as I've spent most of the morning reading the posts on your blog. You certainly lead an eventful life, what with your "flashing" neighbour - hot tub parties - Tesco voucher instead of Mr D photo - the list is endless!!
The only disappointment is that I've looked and looked but can't find the "Thank Crunchie it's Friday" blog!!!!!
I'm glad you're feeling better, but with a one-sided sore throat (you have to be different, don't you?!!! lol).
Mr K is a bit upset because my voice is starting to come back - I've been ringing downstairs with my mobile to issue instructions and requests for drinks as I couldn't call down, I'm really enjoying it. He answers the phone in his best servant voice as in "you rang madam, is there something I can do for you".
Now to get to the card - green is my favourite colour and you know what, I love buttons but never use them on cards. Time to change I think. It's such a clean, fresh, and easy card - perfect for batch making. Thanks for the inspiration.
Maureen xx

Well I would say you did very well for being " button challenged"! It is a lovely card design.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I have ever used green as a main colour probably because my school uniform was an awful bottle green (OMG those horrible PE knickers - yeuck) It really put me off but I love your card I'll have to dig out my stash of Llidl green! I only ever use buttons as the centre of flowers too I especially like how you've made the asters into mini apertures
