Good morning all my dear blogging chums. Hope all is well and calm in your bit of the planet.
I'm at work today, boo hiss but off tomorrow, hurrah!!!
Thank you for your comments on my MAWTT DT card. On that note . . . . . . . . . . . .
Click on the pic to take you to the blog and see how to join our super design team!
Now, today's card I made a little while ago as my first play with my, then new, Anna Griffin die, and I saved it to the wrong file on my laptop, then promptly forgot about it lol!!!
It was only seeing something Sue Wilson had done a few days ago that reminded me about it, and I finally found the pics, after going through my files.
Ingredients
White Card (Lime Tree Crafts)
Purple and lilac card (PMD)
Anna Griffin Flourish Emblem die
Hobbycraft sentiment
Lilac bling
I love how this die lends itself to swapping the bits about and it cuts like a dream. I cut the die from the actual card front and saved the fall outs. I then cut it again from purple and also lilac card.
I then stuck another piece of white card, with a piece of double sided adhesive sheet behind the aperture on the card front and popped in the different coloured die cuts/fall outs to make the pattern.
Not a complicated card but sometimes uncomplicated is good lol!!!
I have made another card with this pretty die so I will try to remember to show that next time.
Meanwhile, be good and hopefully you will come visit next time.

Hi Ang, lovely card, was going through my dies the other day to see whuch I could use for this technique. Love the idea of 2 different colours when you cant decide on one. Have a great day. Bx
ReplyDeleteMorning Ang, lovely card I too have this die and I think I've only used it a couple of times. Seeing what you've done has inspired me to get it out again and use it. Thanks for the kind comments on my blog. Have a good day off. Janice xxx http://createdbyjan.blogspot.com

You might think it looks uncomplicated, but to a non craft maker, I bet it still does.I love it.
ReplyDeleteNot complicated? that's just your opinion. I am not sure I have the patience to try this but I do appreciate the work in making such a lovely card.
ReplyDeleteCheers

Oh good grief Ang, it must have taken you a hillbilly's weekend to put all those pieces into place! PASS! I say that like I haven't spent hours and hours fussing over one silly little aspect of a card! Pot...meet Kettle!
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday, big hugs until next time :)
Hi Ang,
ReplyDeleteYour card is lovely, really lovely.
I've used this die loads and it is beautiful. The cards have always been well received but I must admit I did not do paper piecing.
The centre cut out on which you've stamped the sentiment, is really handy and I've used lots of times on it's own when I need a small tag. I often put a small piece of card on the die, just covering the middle, to get that piece.
Enjoy tomorrow xx
Beautiful card & you have made me look at my dies to see if I can copy this idea.

Good evening Ang, hope work was not too stressful.
ReplyDeleteLove your beautiful card, you must have endless patience. It's kinda like doing a "jig Saw" !!!
Enjoy your evening

Hi Ang, stunning cards today & Thursday. Sorry not been on much have been very hectic here with MIL, next door nieghbour and myself being admitted to hospital with suspected heart attack, IT WASN'T, just muscular but doctor geared on the side of caution, I left the hospital at 12.40 am with a very sore throat followed by a cough this morning, so with one thing and another I have not done any crafting or been able to have time to comment lol!
ReplyDeleteHope things are better your end?
Love & Hugs

Hi Ang,
ReplyDeleteWow your card is a 'labour of love' but so worth the time it took you,
Stunning, it's usually the case that the most simplistic designs are the best, I would love to be brave enough to try out for a 'design team' but not sure my cards are up to their standards, if you have time would you be so kind as to stop by my blog and tell me what you think?! I would be hugely grateful!
So glad I found your blog!
Hugs

I love this technique, I saw Sue's take on it previously. I like the three color piecing you have done.
ReplyDeleteHI Ang,
ReplyDeletewhat a very super creation.
I love your choice of colours, and the beautiful design created with you die.
Sounds like lots of work.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Lovely creation I recently bought Sue's Austrian border set (which I'd had my eye on for ages!) when she show cased using different colours in the "fall out" areas that clinched it Your creation is brilliant and will be going through my small collection of dies to see where else I can use this method
ReplyDeleteBrilliant card again Ang, and the duckie card was just for you lol...xx.xx
