Good morning all. Hope this finds everybody's tickety is boo!
We've had a couple of lovely days here with sunshine and wind (the wind is the weather, not me lol!!!).
I am welcoming some more ladies to the The Pond this morning. Thank you to Judy, Derelyn and Cara for following and thank you to some new names I have spied who have kindly left a comment. I have sorted out a Paddle Prize if we can make it to 100!
Also, Izzy, if you're out there, I have adjusted my settings so you can comment. I don't revisit Sue's blog after I've commented but have been told you said you wanted to paddle but couldn't lol! If you're about, feel free to come take a dip (The Pond is heated at this time of year)
June asked if it was ok for her to make a card like my last one. I am more than happy for anyone to take what inspiration they can get from my creations and if you put it on a blog, a little mention would be nice.
Now, today's card is a DT creation for the latest MAWTT challenge, set by Judith, which is . . . . . . . . .Show us a Bunny . I hope that you can pop over and see what creations we have come up with to tickle your crafty tastebuds and hopefully inspire you to join in the challenge.
I didn't think I had any bunny related stash until I remembered a laser cut I still had from Hobbycutz (which sadly appears to be no more).
Ingredients
White card
Papers from Docrafts Spring Chic 12x12 pad
Hobbycutz Easter Bunny lasercut
Mint organza and satin ribbons
Just Cutz A4 rectangle dies
Alys Inky Fingers "Happy"
Memento Dew Drop Rich Cocoa Ink pad
Green bling
As Mr D has seen this, I shall more than likely give this to Nesta for Easter.
Did anyone give anything up for Lent? I gave up housework, which means that's my Spring clean before starting the new job idea is given the shove, hahaha!!!
I don't know if the enamel dots on my last card are an American thing as we did sell them in my previous place of employment in the various Docrafts ranges (Fun Fair, Tiny Tatty Teddy etc) and there are various sites on Tinterweb that show you how to make your own (which seem to involve trays of smelly melting plastic in your oven, hence why I bought mine lol!!!)
Had a lovely meal out with the girls on Monday. I am going to miss them but hopefully, they will be an equally nice bunch at the charity shop. Will let you know when I get a start date as they are still processing my paperwork but I'm enjoying the time off so there's no rush as far as I'm concerned.
Anyhoo, hope you can visit MAWTT and that you are enjoying good weather and good health.
See you all soon.
TTFN

Good morning Ang, wow I seem to be first today - that is a first!! I had to "blow up" the picture as I was sure the bunny as poking his tongue out. Very Eastery colours and just fits the bill, have a good day love from Jackie xx
ReplyDeleteThis card is so cute. Just like to say that I love coming over to to pond, not just to see your lovely cards, but to cheer myself up reading your little dits. Thanks Ang.
ReplyDeleteLynne xx
Lovely spring cards, didn't realise Hobbycuts were no more.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your little time off before the new job starts.
Cheers
Janice W
Pretty backing paper on this card Ang. As you say, lovely sunshine but bitterly cold wind here too. Enjoy the lull before the storm of the new job starts. Exciting times. See you soon-ish! Christine x
ReplyDeleteNow you have finished from your previous job, I bet they are missing you, and wished they had appreciated you more when you were there! If you have too long a break, you won't want to start at the new one. I don't have any bunny related stash either. Nobody seems to post Easter cards in Ireland (well not in my circles).
ReplyDeleteHahah giving up housework sounds like a fabby plan!!! I gave up chocolate but not for lent for a sponsored thing for the British Heart Foundation. Its tough going though!!! Love the stuff!!!
ReplyDeleteYour card is brilliant, what a fabby laser cut, its ace, Love Hazelxx
Gorgeous Ang! Lovely pastels and I love those laser cut pieces, sadly, can't buy those around here much. Can't buy much of anything in the craft supply category, now that I think about it...what's up with that Canada??? It's nice you get a bit of time off before the new gig, and it's good you don't spend it cleaning.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day. big hugs :)
This is gorgeous Ang, Love the lazer cut, I never did get my order from Kobie and it was paid for!!! Shame because I had some good Lazer cuts ordered.
ReplyDeleteThat idea of giving up housework for Lent sounds fabulous lol! I think all women should do it!!! We should give up cooking, and the rest too, I am sure that would go down brilliantly with our hubbies .lol!
Have a great time off and plenty of crafting.
Love & Hugs

Sweet bunny card Ang. Wonderful that you're getting close to 100 followers! With all your gorgeous cards it's no wonder! Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant card Ang, love the Lazer Cut Bunny.
ReplyDeleteGreat colours and design.
I would have loved to have given up "cooking" for lent. When I mentioned it John kinda went in the "huff" at the suggestion. He could have done the cooking but I would have been fed up of "boiled eggs" ........ !!!
Hugs

Hi Ang,
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely Easter colours on this card. I like it very much.
I don't give anything up for Lent now, and haven't for a few years, but what I do is to do something extra every day, like go to Mass, help in school, visit someone who is poorly or housebound. I think it's more positive than giving up, if you know what I mean.
I tailor my cards to my family and friends. Some get religious and the others get cute.
By the way, I do appreciate the fact that you paddle quite slowly so that we can all keep up. xx
Hi Ang - fab card and lovely spring like colours and love the laser cut bunny - enjoy your chill out time xx GailT xx

ReplyDeleteWhat a great showcase you gave your bunny, Ang! He is on stage! I especially love that ribbon treatment! The new girls better be nice and a lot of fun, too, or tell them they will have to answer to all of us. We have very strong thigh muskals from all the paddling, too, so tell them that then. Apropo of nothing, but it sounded strong and menacing in the moment I thought it. Hugs, Darnell
ReplyDeleteHi Ang, what a great Easter card, love the bunny, and the way you have done the ribbon. It is always hard to say goodbye to great work mates, so glad that you had a good meal out, and I am sure the new colleagues will be a good bunch. Have a great day. Bx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Easter card! Love the laser cut bunny!! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteGreat easter card Ang, love those laser cuts, I am glad you had a lovely meal out, NOW did you or did you not get put to a big table in the corner, just incase you were all going to be laughing to much??? Ang, a fab card very spring-like. I didn't give anything up for lent I'm afraid.....must be too greedy to give up anything nice !!. I too am sad that hobbycutz is no more especially as i had only just started on their DT. I never heard anything from them after their "break", so don't really know what happened. Have a good weekend. Janice x http://createdbyjan.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteHi Ang,

Ideal for Spring, Easter and that particular challenge post.

Well deserved may I add.

Love the gorgeous bunny. Lucky you going into spring as we really haven't had much of a summer yet they are trying to tell us it has been a warm one. We can already tell Autumn is here and we are barely a week into it. Progress here is slow am wanting to get back to crafting but still lack the energy.

Hello Ang, thanks for doing the resetting thingy to allow me to come and have a paddle - I do realise that most bloggers don't like the Anon button in case it lets in some weirdos, other than myself that is, so much appreciated that you've taken the plunge, (pardon the pun)..lol...especially as I've been following your blog for a little while now and loving your work - and have "lifted" your tombstone Labels 28 gatefold card already!...I love that die set (and have ended up with a duplicate set somehow!) it can look a bit grim at times but using it the way you did as an aperture and then layering it up and adding cheery flowers was gorgeous and right up my street...thanks for sharing that design...
ReplyDeleteLove the Springtime feel to this card and good thinking to recess the bunny Lasercut in an aperture - I have some of these and they can look a bit clunky when mounted up normally but this is perfect...
Izzy
