Good morning everyone. Hope all is good with you and yours.
Thank you so much for all of your positive comments on my last post. In fairness, it was only one person who caused the rota issues at work and the store manager was very sad about me leaving. I was going to go for a meal with a colleague tomorrow evening but word spread and now there's going to be 9 of us!!!. . . . .What it is to be popular hahaha!!!
I must also thank Nancy and Maureen for becoming followers. You ladies have kindly been leaving comments and now are paddling officially lol!!! It also goes to prove you don't need to be called Janice to join in the fun hahaha!!!
Now, today's card is my DT offering for House of Cards March Challenge which is . . . . . .Use enamel dots.
This is the third card in my trio on a theme. The first was here using just a border strip and the second here was using just the flowers. Today, we have a combination of the two.
I didn't actually have any enamel dots as they are not normally things I use so I had a shufty (a Midlands term for look lol!!!) at work and came across these in the sale bin. . . . .
They don't look much like the conventional ones but it says "Enamel Dots" on the packet and they were only 50p!
Ingredients
White card
Purple and lilac PMD card
SB Elizabeth Border Strip
Cheery Lynn Sweet Christine (this does cut 5 flowers at a time for those of you thinking it took me ages to do the flowers)
HC Delicate Asters (for foliage)
SB Foliage
Docrafts Enamel dots
Aly's Inky Fingers sentiment
Distress inks
Memento Dew Drop ink in Grape Jelly
Purple markers
White gel pen
Pearls
I kinda did the flowers in a Sweet William vein again but with different foliage to the last one.
This will be given to one of my friends for their birthday.
I hope that you can pop along to House of Cards and join in the challenge.
Had a splendid day at CE Towers with John on Thursday. I was on beverage duties but did get to assist now and again and watch the maestro at work.
I went with the idea of buying a die, maybe 2 but ended up coming away with 2 Gemini dies, 2 A4 embossing folders, a Heartfelt Creations stamp and 3 Stamps to Die For!!!
John had to drag me away from the papers.
That reminds me, I think it was Maureen who asked who John was? He is the extremely talented John Lockwood of John Next Door Blog (click here) (and now Creative Expressions and Create and Craft)
Some of you asked which charity I was going to be working for. Now some employers are a bit funny about what gets put on "social media" so for now, I shall just say its a well known children's charity.
Well, that's me today. Be good and thank you so much for your company.
TTFN

Hi Ang,
ReplyDeleteThanks for officially welcoming me to the blog, and here I was thinking I was paddling along with you for all this time, By, it's a good job we've got webbed feet or we'd never keep up with you.
Thanks for the information on John - and I watched him on C&C but didn't realise he was your John!! This is the calibre of follower you have in me lol.
I was in your shop - well a branch of your shop - during the week and I didn't have a look in the reduced bin as there were 3 rather beefy women turning one upside down and inside out, and I was frightened they'd duff me up if I tried to have a look. May pop along tomorrow!!
No after all that, today's card is rather special. I love the flowers down the side and the colours are gorgeous.
Love Maureen x
I'm not exactly sure what enamel dots are? Still, your gems are dots, aren't they?

ReplyDeleteHi Ang, late today, but better late than never! Your card is amazing, I love how you have offset it, the die cuts and those flowers, you must be so patient. I am relatively new to card making and struggle to make me time due to business commitments, but I can dream of having endless days in my craft room, lol. Am bust creating invites, games and all sorts of bits and bats for my Grand daughters baby shower next week :-)
