Good morning fellow paddlers. . . . . . .is it warm enough for you yet?
What a super day we had yesterday here, especially as it was a day off. Thank you for your kind words (and misplaced confidence hahaha!) and fortunately, I didnt wreck the shop. It took 20 minutes longer than usual to get out the door but the till balanced and so did the paperwork so a big sigh of relief all round.
Mind you, some of the things I could say about some things that folk bring in. . . . .but, you may be eating breakfast lol!
Now today's card is my DT offering for MAWTT and this challenge, as chosen by Kelly is. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . anything but a square card.
Therefore, I decided to make a circular card. . . . . . .
Ingredients
White card (Lime Tree)
Pink Card (PMD)
First Edition Floral Pavilion 8x8 paper pad (behind the aperture)
X-Cut Extra Large Circles
SB Medallion 1
SB Carnation Creations
SB Jewel Flowers and Flourishes (flourishes and leaves)
Tonic flower punch
Couture Creations Bouquet embossing folder
Wendy's Pins
Various distress inks
CE Vintage Green gilding wax
Pink satin ribbon
I hope that you can pop over and have a look at what my team mates have designed for your inspiration and also, why not join in!
I hope that you like my circular offering. I did enjoy making it.
Lydia, I used to have shopping delivered when I worked full time but I've got it down to an hour round Tesco (other supermarkets are available lol!) I can live with that so I can manhandle me own plums. . . . . .ahem!
Also, Happy Birthday to you. Hope you have a wonderful day.
Jackie, I wont dare ask how you had imagined me to be lol!
Anne, I always stamp the flowers first then fill in with the foliage. Don't know if this helps with the randomness.
And welcome back to those of you who have been away for holidays or for being busy bees.
Had the start of a sore throat last night but that's developed into sniffs and a very passible Norman Collier impression. Triffffffic!
Another day off for me today, hurrah, so I shall be getting intimate with Mr Muscle and the vacuum cleaner. . . . . . .steady, its just housework guys, lol!
Wishing you all a happy day.

First off the block today! Just love the way you do flowers Ang and this is such a pretty card so hopefully you will win the challenge. I don't know how I imagined you either, I think it was the long hair that threw me, as I and most of my friends have short hair I suppose. Anyway mind how you go with the vacuum - and come and do mine when you are done!! love from Jackie xx

Gorgeous card Ang! Love that medallion in the center and your flowers are completely incredible! Beautiful embossing folder!! You know, I have a couple of hundred embossing folders and I never use any of them...but yet, I can't stop buying them! Serious problems!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous weather here for us, yesterday I had to plug in the air conditioner. We had two whole entire lovely spring days before winter turned directly into summer. Gotta love crazy Canadian weather! haha! hugs :)

ReplyDeleteAfternoon Ang, it's great to see a circular card - don't see them too often. Thanks for your kind comments on my blog. The threads that I use are embroidery cottons for use with sewing machines. Have a good day. Janice xxx http://createdbyjan.blogspot.com

Ang, not really warm enough for paddling? Then again I don't do paddling anyway at this time of the year. We still have snow on the hills here? Love your card, from the shape , embossing and design? Hazel x
ReplyDeleteHi Ang,
ReplyDeleteoh what a great circular card, and such a beautiful design.
The flowers look amazing, and very beautiful.
Love your colour choice.
Now you talking about the charity shop you work in reminded me of my days in
work, I used to be the assistant manager in a shoe shop, so when my boss was away or on holiday I used to run the shop.
The shop had very high glass doors with key lock on the top and bottom, now as I have what I call Duck Disease that is very short legs I couldn't reach the top, so I used to ask passers by to unlock and open the doors, till my area manager brought me a metal standing block that slid under the door.
I thought you might have a little chuckle with the thought of me standing on this
metal box to open the doors with my feathers all ruffled. lol.
I have another little ditty about work for another time perhaps if I haven't bored to sleep.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card. Love the flowers and the colours. Thanks for the tip about the stamping. I will give it a go! Best wishes, Anne O
Hi Ang! Love the circular card! Well it was warm, but now it's not! Looking at it snowing big fluffy flakes outside my window. Oh well, it's Colorado - we say if you don't like the weather stick around, it will change! Glad the new job is going well. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteHi Ang. What a pretty card, love the flowers.
ReplyDeleteSee, we told you that your first day in the shop on your own would go fine, didn't we : ) I can imagine some of the stuff you get handed in. People seem to use it as an excuse to get rid of things that should have gone straight to the tip, don't they!
Have a lovely time with Mr Muscle! Take care x
Morning Ang,
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous card, such pretty flowers, and I love the design.
Thank for the birthday wishes, I had a lovely day out to lunch with hubby, eldest daughter and SIL. Some love new dies as well.
As fof shopping I hate it, Sainsbury's delivery is excellent.
I can also imagine the rubbish that people bring into the shop.
Have a good day.
