Good morning everyone. Hope you are all in fine fettle?
Thank you for your comments and concern about my wrist. It just kinda buckled when I leaned on it so I think I strained something. Its still not 100% but its better than it was. I'm still trying to rest it when I can and have been careful at work (it certainly would have been more difficult in my old job).
Unfortunately, this has meant I have not been able to do my DT card for MAWTT this week so Hazel(Didos) has kindly given me a sicknote.
I hope that you will still pop over and join in with the challenge as they are getting fruity. . . . . . see, that's got your attention now lol!!!
Please click on the above after 9am to see what my teamies have been up to and to join in the fruity fun.
Now today's creation is card number 4 card from John's stamp shows. Don't worry, I only did 72 samples. . . . . . just joshing folks lol!!!
Of course, I had to try and get my favourite Striplet in on the act so I cut it around the edge of some lilac card but only half the die.
The centrepiece of John's glorious stamps was recessed into the centre of this 8x8 card.
Ingredients
Ivory Card
Purple card
Lilac card
John Lockwood's Rosebud Elements stamps (frame and sentiment)
Sue Wilson's Embroidered Striplet
Versamark
Purple mica
Memento Dew Drop Sweet Plum ink
I'm hoping to do something similar for a wedding card due a week on Saturday. Hopefully the wrist will improve by this weekend so I can get it done.
I had a sympathy card to send to a friend this week and had to, shamefully . . . . . . . . buy a card (ooooh, that hurt to say). I bought it from work so at least it benefits a charity but apologies to the lady concerned and for my writing which looked like an epileptic spider had done the foxtrot across the card.
Well, thhhhhats all folks, except to say, thank you to some new names for kindly leaving comments. Hope you can visit again soon.
Take care all and be good.

Morning Ang,
ReplyDeleteA stunning card, love how you have used the striplet, Johns stamps look pretty good too lol!
I am sure your friend did not mind the bought card in the least and that your writing is not that bad, they would have appreciated the kind thought and words very much lol!
Have a great day, so glad your wrist is on the mend, I shall try and get over to MAWTT later to have a look.
Take care
Love & hugs

ReplyDeleteGorgeous card Mrs D & love the sentiment xx glad your wrist is improving - know what you mean about buying a card - it was my friends husbands birthday on Monday & most if my crafty stash is still packed away in boxes so with no more a do a visit to the shops where I purchased an A6 sized card which was lovely but nothing special & it was £3 I couldn't believe it - shows how long it is since I bought a card xx GailT xx

Sorry your poor wing is still giving you trouble. Might I suggest that you always have a card or two 'in stock', but with no sentiment. That way, it's easy to adapt for sad or happy occasion? Just an idea. Love today's card, but then John had evolved into a super stamp designer!
ReplyDeleteOooh missus your wrist sounds painful, you'll have to be more careful(!) as Donny would say! As for your creation - this is lurvely and sooo my favourite colour. The sentiment is perfect! You go and nurse that wrist missus - paddle carefully and waddle less!
ReplyDeleteHugs to you Sue Pxxx

In a word - Stunning! This would certainly make a fabulous wedding card, obviously without this sentiment, or maybe with it, we are supposed to be friends with our spouses are we not!!! Michelle x
ReplyDeleteHi Ang,
ReplyDeleteyes this is stunningly great.
Love your fab design, and the wonderful stamped image, showcasing John's fab stamps.
I'm sure this design is going to make an amazing wedding creation.
Look after your poorly wrist.
Maybe a blonde cake thing will make it feel better, as it sounded so good after you had visited the NEC.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
