Newsflash. . . . . . .Duck's Cards on Create and Craft


Good morning my blogging chums. Hope all is well with you and yours.

Well, I'm just going to dive right in as I've been bursting with excitement to tell you all but some of my cards will be on John Lockwood's shows on Create and Craft today.

I was supremely flattered and just downright chuffed to be asked if I would like to do some samples for John using his gorgeous new stamp sets that will be featured on today's shows.

I hope that you can all tune in at 8am and 3pm, obviously to watch John but to also share in my moment of proudness (if that's a real word lol!!!).
These stamps are amazing and I'm not just saying that. . . . .they are an absolute joy to work with.

This means, I that I will be showing the cards over the next week or two, so I will do my bokeh demo after that and answer your bokeh questions then too, if that's ok ?(or you could read Jacquie J's explanation and I'm sure that will clue you up lol!!!)


Ingredients 
Cream card (for the base, inked around the edges with Spun Sugar)
Milk card 
Couture Creations Tied Together embossing folder
Striplet outer edge die (take your pick of the straight edged ones)
Square die
SB Bitty Blossoms (roses)
John Lockwood's Flower Heart Elements stamps
John Lockwood's Heart Striplet stamp
Versamark 
Cosmic Shimmer clear embossing powder
Spun Sugar DI
CE pearls


The Striplet panels were stamped with Versamark on milk card and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. I then inked over with the Spun Sugar.
I then taped the 3 panels to my GC cutting plate at the distance that I wanted them apart and then added the 2 square dies to cut the centre and the channel for the roses (if that makes sense?)

The sentiment on my hand cut banners is "Engagement Congratulations". Doesn't show up too well on the pics but hopefully, you may see it ont telly!!!

Hope you can tune in to watch the lovely John in action and see my cards. Fortunately, its my day off so I can watch live.

    Hey missy, BIG CONGRATULATIONS HERE, now I hope you are not going to forget about us young ducklings now you have a bigger pond to swim in lol! Seriously Ang, fabulous news, I am recording the shows as I shall be at work but really made up for ya. You'll be joining John on his shows soon then we will no doubt have a real double act on TV lol! I adore this card you have on today, although its not my colour its so pretty, just right for a special occasion.
    I hope Mr D has got some ear plugs for when you start shouting 'That's mine!' lol! I can feel your excitement from here!!!

    Well done Ang, your cards deserve an airing on TV. They are streets ahead of some samples I have seen. Only saw a few minutes of the first show, but will watch on catch up later. Now it will be a spotting game, but I am sure John will mention you by name.

    Ooh, Mrs Duck, I am watching the Prog. on Craft Extra as I type. Missed it on C&C at 8 this morning, because I took a sleeping tablet. Managed to buy three sets of stamps! Sadly I couldn't buy them all, but I could exchange your roses for one of my cherry blossoms (I could make them double), and I love the recessed technique.

    Looking forward to your inspiration in the coming days.

    Ang, well done. Oh will we have to curtesy now when we meet you?? Beautiful card. Ang, these are Gillian's friends invites, these are the ones I am doing just now. Gillian's I will put up, I forgot I hadn't shown them. Her friend just wanted something simple and I let her look at different die cuts etc and that's what she choose, her day ones are slightly different. Her wedding, her invites. I just made them. She didn't even want the same colour of backing paper, she picked the papers, so that was that. Hazel xxx

    Hi Ang,
    thank you for your concern yesterday.
    He had a very bad Asthma Attack after a nasty cold and cough.
    First time he has had to go into hospital, and by ambulance as well.
    Everything under control now, and he is back home tonight.
    Your cards were so superb that were shown on C&C, and Nigel was very taken with them.
    As Darnell said I was so chuffed for you.
    Now not to much pruning of those feathers my girl, bigger things are sure to be on their way I am certain, and then plenty of time to prune.
    I bet it was a rough night on the pond, last night too, or did it miss you.

    You must gave been so proud, well done you, what a huge confidence boost, I am Sure that John was excited to have your amazing cards to showcase his new stamps so perfectly , you make a good team!
    I love your card today too, the three Striplets look like a pre-made paper, to say you made them from scratch just highlights how amazingly talented you are, you have me very tempted to gave a go a your 'Bokeh' challenge, but I am not sure I have the confidence!
