More Birds and Fruit. . . . . . . . . . . . .


Good morning everyone. Hope all is well in your bits of the world.

Welcome to my new follower. You're not showing up on Blogger so may be anonymous but I'm glad you have joined us for a paddle.

Thank you all for your kind concern about the shin and for putting the oojits up me (Darnell!!!) Still have an itchy head. . . . . . .that'll be the sand from where my head has been buried lol!!! Things have eased so think it just needs a bit of resting. Not much chance as I'm doing extra days still but I'm going to be feet up enjoying the F! GP from Spa in Belgium today.

Now, todays card is another from John's shows and this did get shown. I got down and dirty with the gilding flakes. . . . . . .same as sand, you find them everywhere for days after lol!!!

John Lockwood's Partridge in a Pear Tree stamp set
John Lockwood's 12 Days of Christmas 8x8 paper pad
Sue Wilson Snowflake Lattice embossing folder
Silver gilding flakes
CE red and silver ribbon
CE Dazzler
Versamark pad
Ranger sticky embossing powder


I really did have a lot of fun making these cards and I'm a sucker for a paper pad. . . . . .or two!

Well, I did make it to lunch with Nesta and co but only just. The evening before, Mr D and I frequented our local hostelry for a bite to eat after work. I decided to have my favourite roast chicken but with the option of the spicy hot naga ghost chilli marinade. I love spicy food (its in the genes) and happily munch on raw green chillies as a snack but I have never eaten anything as hot as this before. Dentists could use the stuff to anaesthetise folks mouths!!!

Still, all was good until the early hours of the following morning when I discovered why they are called "ghost" chillies. . . . . . . because at 1.30am they came back to haunt me lol!!!
They continued to "haunt"me for several hours so I won't be touching that stuff again. I think you could probably strip paint with it!!!

Are we all going to be watching the new craft channel on Thursday? I still think Hochanda sounds like something rude in Spanish. . . . . . . . can imagine kicking someone in the hochandas, hahaha!!! Hope everyone is going to watch John. Poor lamb is prepping demos like mad for his shows so I shall be going over to mop his fevered brow tomorrow morning.

Jenny, did wonder where you were going with that bruised boob story lol!!!
Sam, the bauble dies were actually Spellbinder ones but Sue's would work equally as well. . . . . .oh and congratulations on winning John's stamps!

And everyone else, thank you for your encouraging comments about my cards, leg and life in general. . . . . . . you're all good eggs (or tofu for the vegans).

    Morning Ang, beautiful card, I did see a couple of your samples on C&C and they were great, it is nice that John does mention that you helped him. Hope your tum is now over the Ghost chillies, not for me I'm a coward when it comes to hot and spicy food!!! It's great to see your blog growing each week, keep it up. Take care and stay safe!     Beautiful card Ang loving the gilding flakes , yes i am ready for the change, to be honest i have not had the craft channel on a lot these last 3 months ,only to view my favorites , i am hoping we have more demo's and less chat that isn't related to the products from this New Craft Channel .

    Hi Ang such a lovely card John really came up trumps with the designs and colours. I'm booked on a eorkshop with John on Thursday afternoon so I don't know how far he has to travel to the tv channel ss yhe name sounds a mix of German and Japanese to me! I'm looking forward to the new channel but then yesterday I found that there is another new channel starting in September talk about waiting for a bus and two come at once. Will be interesting to see how the craft "wars" develop. Postage will no doubt be the decider alongside the size of the bundles. I did a daft thing of staying up all night watching the athletics. Went to bed at 6 and got up at 9 so hope I stay awake for the GP today. Enjoy. Love from Jackie xx

    Gorgeous card again-really must start making some Christmas cards soon. Am looking forward to the new TV channel & have high hopes that there won't be as much wittering . I know they have to sell the items but surely most crafters would like to see the stuff being used?!

    Lovely card Ang I'm looking forward to the new channel BUT I'm to have to record the very first but because it's our fortnightly craft meet and I've promised to go - drat and double drat! I hope there's demo-Ing and less chatter from the presenters
    Do you know if it's only going to be specific days/times? At the mo it is a shopping channel (Sky) with a different name

    Hi Ang, beautiful card and it looked so good on TV. I probably will miss the first show as it is on at the same time as channel 4 news, that will win as Mr. Currie hates craft channels, and it's not worth the hassel, we have only one tv, but I'm sure Johon's demos will be fab, hugs Kate x

    Hi Ang,
    I'm pleased to see that you are still paddling like a good un!! I love this stamp of John's and you've shown it off to perfection.
    I'm looking forward to the new craft channel like most people, I just wish they'd chosen an better name for it. I know what it stands for, but it's not very catchy and doesn't advertise what the channel is selling.
    I'll get off the soapbox now, it's difficult to balance anyway with webbed feet!!
