Good morning blogging chums. Hope all is well in your area of the World.
Now today's card is another for the boys or I suppose a girlie who doesn't like any whistles and bells.
This one I made for my brother in law. I usually make him a card to do with golf but like our fisherman pal, I thought he may be getting bored with the same theme. Brother in law is not really into any other sports so I thought I would just go with texture/structure.
I double stamped the sentiment in two shades of ink to add a shadow (you don't need too steady a hand as shadows can be directional, if you're a bit out)
Ingredients
White card
Navy card
Mid blue card
CE Linen embossing folder
SB Classic Diamonds
CE sentiment
Memento Dewdrop inks
CS PVA Pearls in black and silver
Hopefully, you can see the depth of the layers through the diamond aperture on this snap.
I do have another fella card for a later date as the recipient won't have seen it just yet so I promise something girlie for next time.
At work today and shall have the joy of cleaning the windows (thank heavens for Karcher window vacs) but only on the ground floor before any of you have any visions of an impending trip to A & E lol!!!
Jenny, I had to laugh at your streaker story. Made me think of that song, is it "The Streak"? with "Don't look Ethel" hahaha!
Margaret, lovely to have you visit again. Taking things a day at a time sounds like a plan.
Happy Sunday and may the coming week be kind to you.

Good morning Ang - still playing catch up with all my lovely crafty friends since the wedding last week and having my little visitor to stay whilst Mum & Dad are on Honeymoon.
ReplyDeleteYou have some fabulous makes since my last visit and this is no exception.
Perfectly stylish design and great for posting.
Looks like a miserable day weather wise so that's a good reason to stay inside and catch up and then a little playtime in my little crafty haven - I have missed it so much lol!!!
Have a fabulous day.

Afternoon Ang, hope you're home now after your day at work with your feet up and a glass of something chilled in your hand. Great man's card. They are just not easy to make for are they???? Janice xxx http://createdbyjan.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteHi Ang,
ReplyDeletewonderful card, and just great for the men or women who don't like fussy, as some don't.
Lovely design, and wonderful colour choice.
I too am finding when I make cards for the men in my family that I am running out of topics to put on there as you say there are only so many you can make with
golf, fishing, or footy.
Luckily my BIL loves quite a few sports including the GPs so I am not spoilt for choice there.
ooooooooo! I never thought of that song and it goes so well with what I said.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Hello Ang,
ReplyDeleteNow how did I miss the card you posted on the 1st Oct? It is stunning, and I love the embossing folder and the whole concept. (whoa, get that!!!)
Now today's card is also fabulous. I love clean and simple, and I also love fancy and fluffy. I'm really so fickle lol. Still, it makes for an interesting life.
I've got to tell you that I've been double stamping for years, when you get to my age and have the shakes, you can't stamp any other way!!!
I don't worry about doing a card for George. I send him the same one every year. His birthday is the 27th Dec, and there are so many cards around, he has never realised - I'm evil really.
Love Maureen xxxx
Hi Ang, super card for your BIL, you can indeed see the dimension, loving the colour of that card.
ReplyDeleteI am indeed thrilled to have won at Sue's, especially as I don't comment every day, lucky old me, have a good Sunday, bummer that you're working though, what we've to do for a crust of bread, Kate x
Let's here it for the boys!! Great texture

I like this, being all about the texture and sentiment. A type of design that suits a person of any age, and with this color choice it feels masculine.
ReplyDeleteA great mans card, Ang. I've the simpleness of it and the colours. Hazel x
ReplyDeleteHi Ang,
ReplyDeletePlain and simple can't beat it!
