Ok.........this flippin post has published now rather than tomorrow when it was scheduled......apologies........bloomin technology!
Good morning all you lovely folk. Hope everyone is fine and dandy. Another Friday is upon us............where are these weeks going? Darker mornings, dark earlier in the evenings, socks on as well as slippers..........boo hoo!
Thank you for your kind comments on my last card. Nice to see some of the girlies who have been busy with real life back for a paddle.
Flash Gordon over the road was at it again Wednesday morning.........vertical blinds flipped open and a full frontal, complete with scratching and all before my crunchy nut cornflakes! Ewwwwww! I'm going to start not looking out of the window first thing anymore. The visual trauma is getting too much lol!!!
Now, today's card is the card I made and gave to John for his birthday on Wednesday.
Ooooh, the pressure of making a card for a professional and Mr D thought it amusing that it took me so long to make it and even then, I wasn't 100% happy with it lol!!!
Ingredients
White card
Shades of blue card
White funky foam
SB Twisted Metal Tags and Accents
SB Interlocking Love
SB Classic Ovals
X Cut XL Circles
Presscut XL Squares
X Cut Alphabet die
TST Fanciful Mask
CS PVA Pearls
The "ENJOY" is cut out of funky foam to give more dimension to the letters.
Also, the surrounding frame is also dimensional but does fold flat if required for posting. Hopefully, you can see that on this snap.
It is 8x8 in size and John said he loved it so all is good.
Apart from his pressie, I also made John this little treat...................................
He wanted a pig in a barrel of mud cake but I said I couldn't make him one before I made Mr D one for his birthday in December or I would be in mega trouble.
Then, I thought, as a compromise, I could make John an individual one so this is what he got.
I'm still waiting for feedback on the cake lol!
Well, Russian GP this weekend. I will get to see Qually tomorrow but I am at work on Sunday and so will have to watch the race re-run when I get home. My racing hero, Nigel Mansell has just released a book and so has Mark Webber so that's a start to my list for Santa lol!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Ps........I am approaching 300 posts so will be doing a little giveaway for a lucky follower.
Stay tuned folks........x
Flippin' blogger! Anyway, I'm sure John loved this super card. Love the colour by the way! Oh wow! As a chocoholic I am very envious of his pig in a barrel of mud! Hope all is well with you - apart from the early morning visuals! All I can say is thank goodness I don't have neighbours - the cows don't give us that kind of show ... lol! But you have implanted an image I could well do without! Hugs Christine xx
ReplyDeleteHi Ang, my blogger was the same. I scheduled it for tomorrow but it's showing now. Brilliant card and cake for John. I hope he enjoyed all that chocolate. I can understand your anxiety about making John a card, but also I understand that John has dine some chef training? So I would be doubly anxious!!!. Enjoy the GO. Hi Ang
ReplyDeleteA lovely card and cake for John tis no wonder he was pleased.
Eeee Ang you will have to have breakfast with your back to the window if he keeps on doing this , or you could go into your garden with a chopper in your hand and keep looking his way, he may get the message .
Take care

Oooh, the card is nice, I like that it locks with the sentiment, but I LOVE the cake! Super idea. I'm sure it will (or has) made John's day!
ReplyDeleteLove your posts Ange. They so make me laugh.
ReplyDeleteOh Ang, you do make me laugh, but, with my professional hat on I think your neighbour knows exactly what he is doing, and even although in his own house, can still be prosecuted for indecency. Not nice at all first thing before breakfast, well anytime really.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, your card is gorgeous, wonderful shade of blue/teal? fabulous design and I do love the birthday cake, I wonder why the pig though. be in touch soon, Katex
I think your neighbor is getting is jollies doing this - do quit looking and do report him to the police -- he is definitely mentally off!
ReplyDeleteYour birthday card is wonderful!!
Now what about that cake -- I need to know how to make one - I have to make one - it is without a doubt the best cake I have ever seen -- do you make the pigs. Oh would dearly love to make one - such a hoot!

Hi Ang, I bet John was over the moon receiving such a spectacular card. And a special cake as well. What a lucky lad. I know how you feel msking a card fot him. I made one when he left Spain and sweated blood over it.
ReplyDeleteYou do make me laugh with your full frontal neighbour. Wouldn't be so bad if it was a Brad Pitt look alike, we'd all be queueing up to come and stay with you.
Have a good weekend.
Love Val in Spain x
Fabulous card and gift & I bet he loved both! Your cake reminded me of the Piggin models and one of them sprang to mind when you told your story about your neighbour "Piggin Hell" what a sight to see (not!)
ReplyDeleteHi Ang,
ReplyDeleteI Love the card and the cake is brilliant. It would be my idea of a living nightmare - having to make a card for a fellow professional - I'd be a gibbering wreck. Well, actually I am one now!!!
As for the Fruit and Nut case that lives opposite you, I also think he's getting off doing this and should be reported and stopped.
Enjoy the Motor Sport, I think I'll just sit and watch the paint dry instead!!! (sorry).
Love Maureen xxxx
Fabulous card, and cake, And, I'm sure John was thrilled with both, I know I would have been. With regard to your morning wake up call, you just need to mention to him that he suffers from little man syndrome, bet he doesn't do it again, lol. Take care, Linda.
ReplyDeleteHi Ang,
ReplyDeleteFab card, love the colour.
Glad I don't live next door to you!
Nancy

Hi Ang,
ReplyDeleteFab card and cake for John, I don't know why you were worried it looks so neat and professional.
As for the man over the road, you are so graphic with your descriptions that I can picture It, which makes me howl with laughter. You are so funny!

Lovely card!! The cake looks delicious!! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHi Ang! The card you made for John is absolutely gorgeous. Love the foam letter that squish down for the Post Office! Your cake made me hungry! So cute but I would gobble it up in a second because of the chocolate! So sorry about your "flasher" in the morning. What a "pig" he is!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!
Donna
OMGee Ang another stunner! I've loved that shade of blue for cards for a long time and adding it with the white makes this one really pop! I need to get a bigger die cutter and more dies after seeing this one. I have just started to play with funky foam with dies and using it with double sided tape to create my own large foam pads. Love it and the cake, oh my that looks so yummy too Karen xx
