Good morning guys and gals (well, mainly gals but I live in hope lol!!!).
Eeeee, hasn't it turned chilly. My hands have been colder than a penguins chuff and if my feet go the same way, I shall be digging Kate's wonderful warm socks out of the drawer again.
Thank you so much for all of your supportive comments about my work woes......I was really touched (steady Maureen !!!)
Well, I stamped my feet and threw a minor hissy fit which was relayed to the regional manager and I was reprieved. I'm still covering 3 shops this week but not as many days.
I'm hoping Nancy was right and as a consequence the regional manager thought better of antagonising the one member of staff who has agreed to cover other shops (as they have lost staff moving on to pastures better!) and who hasn't had any sick leave since my poxation last May, despite my "itis" which is still present.
Any more problems, I'm signing up Kate as my shop steward lol!!!
Hazel, Janice and Natty, I have negotiated with Mr Lockwood but sadly, he can't afford me (this Duck ain't cheap.........its a vicious rumour!!!)
Thank you also for your kind comments on Wendywoo's necklace. As I hadn't asked Wendy's permission to show it, I didn't like to name her as the recipient but she has shown it on her own blog now, so that's ok.
Now, today's card is one I made for my friend Penny who was celebrating the birth of her Grandson. I showed the card I made for her daughter here but then forgot to post the card I made for Penny.
Ingredients
White card
Turquoise card
Tied Together embossing folder
HC Delicate Asters
SB Curved Borders 2
Hobbycraft sentiment
Bahama Blue Memento Dew Drop ink
Pearly bling
Teeny blue bling
It had to be blue for a boy and Penny is a Coventry City supporter (I think she's on tablets for it lol!!!) I'm sure that the ankle biter already has a Sky Blues romper suit in his wardrobe.
No shananighans to report from Flash Gordon lately (I'm grateful for small mercies.......not his very small mercy though, obviously lol!!!)
Finally, I know my friend Davey will be reading this so have a wonderful holiday dear friend (he's off to Dallas and Guatemala........not your regular combination, I know but he said that the Travelodge in Lowestoft was fully booked for that week)
Have a great week folks........I'm off for a few days from Thursday, hurrah!!!

Good morning Ang glad you've got the work/life balance sorted for the present. I suppose the upside is that with 3 shops you can always plead ignorance/not there that day if anything goes wrong! Bahamas blue what a lovely name could do with some of that thus dreary morning. We will all need our socks probably this week. Super card good to get out the older dies and efs isn't it? Love from Jackie xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card And, love the turquoise flowers, so gorgeous!! Penguin's chuff, eh? HA!! Well we have a field of water where the lawn should be, not much snow to be found as of yet. Keep warm my friend. hugs :)
ReplyDeleteLovely card Ang.
ReplyDeleteDidn't want to antagonize anyone.
Love Nancy x
Not you chuckie, the regional manager lol!
DeleteYou never antagonise petal.

Hi Ang, what a gorgeous card, I love the colours and those asters are quite beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSo pleased your management saw sense, it just beggers belief what employers thing, and usually do get away with nowadays. Workers are allowing all their hard earned rights to be taken from them, good for you letting them know that you mean buisness too, your old lefty pal, Kate x
Great card, Ang. Enjoy your days off - you've earned them.
ReplyDeleteAnne (Northamton)

Hi Any
ReplyDeleteA great card I do like the colour and the delicate asters are gorgeous. I also will have to get my embossing folder out I forgot I have this one lol.
Enjoy your few days off from work.
I went to work yesterday and it was freezing the boilers weren't working so we were all sitting there in our coats. They did get them going but it was mid afternoon before it started to get warm .. hopefully today will be ok.
Thank you for your kind comment on my blog.

Woo hoo! I'm so glad you put your foot down I love your card I love that aqua colour and how you've arranged the asters against the bracket edge Great idea for lots of occasions
ReplyDeleteKeep stamping I'll make a dancer out of you yet!
Hello Ang,
ReplyDeleteGreat card, and as I've to make new baby cards next month for my sister in law and her daughter, I shall "borrow" your ideas. We don't know if it's boy or girl yet, only that it will be BIG. My niece is 6' tall, her husband is 6'7", and her dad and my husband (identical twins) are 6' 2 1/2", so I suppose it will be a baby elephant when it comes out!!!! She is a little bit apprehensive about the birth - A LITTLE BIT!!!! ha ha
Let me at your Manager, I'll sort him out for you!! He'll probably ask you to cover 4 shops and dock your wages when I've finished with him lol. Seriously, it has taken me a lot of years, and frustration, to realise that they will take advantage at every opportunity, and do not appreciate you if you let them.
And that's your Granny talking.
love Maureen xxx (sorry but I've rambled a bit)
So stunning, beautiful colour combos and added beauties.x
