Good morning friends, Romans, crafters ........ lend me your beers ears.
Hope you had a lovely weekend, sunshine, hurrah!!!
I thought I'd give you all a couple of days rest and myself time to make friends with Windows !0. We have passed the first date stage but no kissing as yet.
Its a strange beast that will take some getting used too but I thought the same about Mr D at first and now, I quite like him lol!!!
Apologies Myra if I worried you being awol.
Welcome Lisa, thank you for your comment.
Now, I'm back with another of John's show samples. This one did get an airing and is such an quick and easy card, especially for batch making or if you want a nice set of note cards.
Ingredients
White and rich plum card
John Next Door Butterfly Frames stamps
Presscut Square dies
Sissix Heart die
Memento Dew Drop inks
Pearlage
I did the dib dab technique with the points of the ink pads again, stamping the heart element 3 times and the flowers a couple of times with a lighter colour than the first stamping. Butterflies added for good measure.
The card is fractionally under 6x6......... I always make them a little under as sometimes envelopes are a bit under too and its a bu@@£r when you make a card, only for it not to fit the envelope.
Busy week ahead. Seeing Mr L at some point and a rather late Spring clean. Now I'm feeling up to it, I want to get stuck in. I won't go daft though, I shall pace myself.
And now, for something completely different. Freshly picked from the garden........you can't beat it eh? Next time........... the cucumber...........steady ladies, steady lol!!!
Hope that this week treats you kindly and dryly, see you all soon.

Morning Ang, this card is so lovely with the subtle stamping and soft colours. Wow you must have lots of energy for spring cleaning, mine usually ends up being Autumn cleaning. LOL. The tomatoes and beans are fab. Our tomatoes are all coming out, and hubz just goes and picks them off the plant and eats them. Have a nice visit with John, and take care. Bx
ReplyDeletePretty card Ang. I keep telling myself, I must do some housework !!!!! YUKKY, I hate it, but Johns kids are coming on Saturday so had better do abit.xxxxx
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous Ang, loving the layers and your colour theme. Beautifully designed with that heart shape of blooms.

Morning Ang,
ReplyDeleteLove the card.
Garden produce looks good too, everything my hubby has grown this year has gone mad except the toms they are taking a long while to ripen lack of sunshine.
Don't go mad with the cleaning.

Very pretty I don't do a lot of stamping and it's a trend that seems to be coming back Sooo... it looks like I need to have a go I'm going to Stamparama at the week end I know John won't be there but maybe some of his products will be ....
ReplyDeleteNice veg...
Good morning Ang remember seeing this one on the show the triple heart is so effective. Great veggies can't beat the smell of fresh picked runner be and and tomatoes. Don't overdo the cleaning though! love from Jackie xx

ReplyDeleteHello Ang,
ReplyDeleteWhew! Such a relief to see your Post! Lol!
Your card is so pretty! Really like this one and the colours are lovely! I like how you have cut out the heart as well.
Produce looks mouthwatering! Enjoy!
Thanks, Love Myra xx
Hello Ang,
ReplyDeleteSaw this card on the show and loved it then. Looks even nicer when seen "close up and personal" ha ha.
As well as Wisty envy, I can now add your green long things and round red things to the evergrowing list!!! Enjoy.
Take the cleaning one thing at a time, one ornament today and another tomorrow - don't want to do anything silly. Glad to see you are getting to grips with Windows, I often feel like wringing it's neck as I wander lonely as a cloud!! Have a good time with Mr L.

Lovely card, love the soft green. Fingers crossed that you and Windows 10 continue to get on x
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card, Ang. Glad to hear that you are feeling well enough to do the housework!! We have a great recipe for tomato soup if you have a glut!
ReplyDeleteDon't go mad with the Spring clean.

Hi Ang
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, I also saw it on TV, love the subtle green and the hit of plum!
So pleased you're feeling a lot better, but be careful with the spring cleaning, that can be a tad dangerous, stick to card making and picking your tomatoes! They look delicious, but have to say Mr F's toms are a force to reckon with this year! lol

A pretty, card and glad to hear your feeling better but still take it easy. Love the veg you can't beat home grown it tastes so much better. I have my own little veg patch too xxx
ReplyDeletePretty card Ang. Really looking forward to trying some of these out in September.
ReplyDeleteGlad the sun has come out to ripen the toms and the beans needed it too.
Glad you're feeling more yourself.

Can't get on with windows 10 and refuse to upload it onto my laptop. I had to lead it a merry dance when it was trying to up load for free. Couldn't see the butterflies to start with on your gorgeous card. Turns out I had my thumb covering em on my iPad!! As for being teetotal whoever made that word up needs a stiff drinkie poo.Yep . Don't mind if I do. Bottoms up. Hugs Mrs A.
