Hello everyone. Hope all is good in your part of The Pond and if not, I send good wishes.
I have been released from house arrest as someone put it lol!!! Oh, how I have missed the simple joys of driving and grocery shopping.
Had my nuclear medicine scan appointment come through for next week. I won't say what day so that I don't alert WART to my absence or when they are at risk of being irradiated.
Now, just to tease the WART members further, I am showing the beautifully amazing miniature wisteria that the incredibly talented (and patient) Barbara made for me. You may remember the fantastic mini orchids that Barbara sent me here.
Well, this lovely lady made this for me too. I've had it a while but hadn't managed to get it photographed in a decent light. I am still playing with my new camera so the depth of field could be better but I've taken a few photos so apologies for the picture heavy post.
Every part is hand made from card/paper.
Having a play with my extension tubes (That isn't anything rude Maureen lol!!!).
Even the soil and bricks are so detailed.
To give you a sense of scale, I placed a AAA battery at the side. Gives you an idea how intricate the piece is.
Now I know that will probably have driven WART into a frenzy but hopefully it won't trigger a snap ram raid.
I have also been lucky enough to receive these lovely gifts and flowers during the last 2 weeks so I thank you for your kindness and also for the lovely cards and well wishes.
I have been cheered up no end and the kindness I have been shown does restore your faith in human nature.
On that note, I shall tootle off now for a drink.
I will be back with one of my own creations next time.

Wow Ang, this is absolutely stunning, what an amazing talent Barbara has. I am sure that you will treasure it , I know I would. I have therefore decided that I will raise the possibility of Kidnap of said Barbara at the next Wisteria Liberation Front (aka WART) meeting. The price for her release would of course be your miniature Wisteria or if she wanted to secure her own release a Miniature Wisteria for each of the group.

P.S. the Duck is also in our sight lines.
Amazingly gorgeous Ang,what patience Barbara must have, not to mention nimble fingers. You deserve all those little gift, your upbeat humour keeps us all going. Pleased to hear you've made the Great Esacape, take care Kate x
ReplyDeleteHello Ang, what a stunningly beautiful creation, it must have taken a lot of time and patience to create. And other lovely gifts from lovely people, you do always make us smile, so you deserve all the kindness and love. Glad to hear you enjoyed the grocery shopping, I sometimes just feel it is a chore. Take care and good luck with the appointment. Have a good day everyone. Bx

Oh Wow Ang. I love that mini Wisteria tree. It is wonderful. A work of Art and one you will treasure for a long time. I have warned aMaureen not to think of stealing it. Don’t know whether she was listening though. No thank you necessary for the card but was very surprised to see it on your blog. I love the duck. Good you can now get out and drive. Hope the next medical appointment goes well. Take carex
ReplyDeleteWell I think it's rubbish and should be sent to me immediately so I can safely display oops I mean dispose of it ha ha.
ReplyDeleteHello Ang,
How wonderful of Barbara to spend all that time making something so beautiful for you. For me - that I could understand - but for you??? ha ha. Littlelamb did say this morning that the Wisty was on show but I assumed it was the garden variet. Wendy and I will be paying you a little visit while you are out being blasted with radiation during the week. I've set Mr B to send an alert every time you leave the house and the Red Silk Bloomer Balloon is primed and ready but I'll make sure we steer clear of your extension tubes - each to his own I suppose!!!
I hope all goes well at the appointment and how lovely of people to send flowers and cards. I'll have to get back to Littlelamb to find out how she sent a card. If it's carrier pigeon Mr Blackbird might attack it!
love Maureen x

Flower arrangements and little ducky as well as the miniature wisteria are lovely well wishes gifts. Barbara's miniature flowers are so amazing and beautiful. You must be a very dear person to Barbara to receive one of her handmade miniature card flowers. So glad your next test will be soon. Waiting is so hard to do. Prayers go your way.
ReplyDeleteHow stunning is that wisteria, your friend must have endless patience and a steady hand.
ReplyDeleteHope all goes well for you.

Hi Ang,

My it must have taken her ages to make that and the bricks are outstanding too and look so real.
Beautiful other gifts form your blog friends.
People are so kind and thoughtful.
On another note my Son's Wisteria is doing wonderfully not saying where though. LOL.
He had an amazing one in his last house.
So glad you are out and about again I know what your mean about not going out it is like a sentance in a prison.

ReplyDeleteWOW and triple WOW. The wisteria is stunning! This is obviously, and constantly, in the back of my mind as I even mentioned wisteria on one of my videos instead of the correct flower I was using LOL
Littlelamb's card/calendar is so gorgeous, as are your flowers and Mr Duck, the knitted kind of course
Happy crafting....
