Good morning chaps and chapesses. Hope you are all safe and well.
Well, here I am again...........twice in one week eh? Just when you thought it was safe to switch on your laptops again.
Testing times at The Pond as it is everywhere at the moment.
It's been a pain in the derriere as my fledgling foot care business has come to a halt. Everything was going well and the patient list was building nicely but all stopped for now.
I'm taking it on the chin (Well, one of them 😁) as there are folk who are far worse off. Fortunately, Mr D should be getting 80% of his salary when they have sorted out the finer points of the furlough scheme. Due to this, there is nothing I am able to claim but it is what it is and as I say, it could be worse.
I'm just wondering what state people's feet are going to be in after 3 - 6 months 😱😱😱.
I am going for walks of 2-3 miles most days but keeping my distance from people as best as I can.
I have also been doing the Jo Wicks workouts and fortunately now remember not to do them bra less after the first day, having not long got up. Wasn't sure which was going to bruise first, my eyes or my knees lol!!!
Mr D has only been off work for one week and has already broken my favourite vase, lost 2 of my earrings and also broken our new loo seat lid !!! He did offer to do the shopping on Monday but I braved it instead as sending him shopping on his own never ends well, even with a list and printed photographs of products.
Most folk were sensible but there are still those who have a problem with keeping 2m apart.
Fortunately, a few muttered expletives seems to jog their memories along with the thought of having to have a cucumber surgically removed if they don't move.
Now, back to crafty things. I decorated this frame last year as a sample for Mr L with a plethora (love that word) of is floral dies. The frame is a padded card one from Docrafts, which my lovely friend Joy had given me. I painted it white and went from there.
Ingredients
Docrafts frame
White card
JND Camellia die
JND Blousy Poppy die and stamp
JND Hydrangea die
JND Leafy Flourish dies
JND Rose Leaves dies
JND Fern dies
JND Large Butterfly dies
Various inks
Bling
I would love to have gotten some more of these frames but alas, I don't think they are available anymore.
Well, I hope that you are all keeping well in these terrible times. I don't know if everyone who used to pop by still does. Thank you to those of you who are still commenting as its lovely to know that there are still folk looking in on me. If you are still there, please leave a comment just so that I know that you are all ok.
I shall say ta ta for now but with some extra time on my hands now, I shall be back soon.
TTFN and stay safe.
Ang x
The frame is so gorgeous Ang.
ReplyDeleteI have been thinking about you and your new business, such a shame but that's how it is at present. We can't even go out for a walk together, only 1 at a time either shopping or walking Rico. Face a hefty fine if both out 600 to 2000 euros.
Stay safe, xxxx
I am still here Ang and enjoying your blog. This is a beautiful card. I am just thinking of making my Easter card. No good thinking about it I have got to get on with it. Sorry to hear that your foot care business has had to be put on hold. I am sure you will have plenty of customers once this is all over. Take care when you are out.
ReplyDeleteStill here Ang and loving all your comments and cards etc. This is gorgeous. xx
ReplyDeleteOh wow Ang this is stunning. The frame is so beautiful I love it. We are very fortunate as my hubby is able to work from home. I hope everything works out for you. When this is all over people will have walked so much that they will need your footcare business. Take care. Hugs Jackie
ReplyDeleteHi there Ang, what a gorgeous frame, the blooms are stunningly beautiful and such lovely colours too.
ReplyDeleteI did text you the other night and last night I tried to send a funny video that Damian sent me, but I don't know if I managed that. poor Mr' D, no better not send him for the shopping, I remember you talking about this before. Keep well and safe Kate x
Hi Ang just love all the flowers you have made to decorate this frame, best not let Mr D near it in case of mishaps!! It's a shame he can't be trusted with the shopping but surely it would no worse than the stories I hear of folk who have online deliveries and find items substituted for something peculiar?? Could be interesting. Take care, Jackie xx
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning, Ang. Until today we had just two broken mugs but then I dropped a bottle on the induction hob and it cracked it across the corner. Fortunately, it is still working but something to sort out in due course. Take care. Annexx
ReplyDeleteStill here Ang!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update Such a shame that your fledgling business has come to a halt after all of that hard work But Like you say worse things are happening
Beautiful project Do you “glaze” them afterwards to protect the delicate flowers:butterflies
Your card to Nesta is stunning and who doesn’t like a bit of bling occasionally
Take care xx
What a beautiful and colourful card Ang. Those flowers are so pretty. I spent the day making up JND poppies, my flower box was nearly empty. Xxx
ReplyDeleteThis is a really pretty frame!! Your comments about your fitness routine did make me giggle :D
ReplyDeleteHugz Tinz
Hello Ang, good to hear you are hanging in there, hope you and Mr D stay safe. Your frame is beautiful. Take care and stay safe everyone. Bx
ReplyDeleteHi Ang
ReplyDeleteLong time no see! Sorry not been checking on blogs. Love this card with a plethora of flowers.
Finding plenty to do but it’s getting motivated that’s the problem. I’ve nearly finished one card making project - my WIs birthday cards (were only a small group) but it would have taken ages under normal circumstances. My lace progresses when I’m chatting to people. Must try Jo Wicks as grandchildren are having a go. However my Pilates teacher is doing live classes so that’s what I’m going for most days. Talking of which, nearly time for today’s!
Keep safe. Xx💐💐

Hi Ang! Loved the gorgeous flowers on this frame. Sorry I haven't been around lately. Sounds like you all are having as much fun with this "social distancing" as we are! Take care!
