Good morning one and all. Hope this finds you fit and well and basking in this joyous bit of sunshine.......do we think summer has arrived?
Have decided to go with a subtle card today after scaring you all with the dayglo butterflies. I have re-photographed the luminous card and hopefully, when I re-post it, it will be more its true colour will shine (rather than fluoresce).
I made this for a colleague of Mr Duck for him to give his wife on Valentine's Day (is that worse than showing a Christmas card ?)
I started with an 8x8 PMD (Paper Mill Direct) white card base. I then embossed some more white card, slightly smaller than the base, with the Cuttlebug Kassies Brocade embossing folder.
I cut a strip out of this piece on a diagonal and foam padded both resulting pieces to the base card, leaving a gap to accommodate the flowers.
The flowers are cut from red PMD card using Spellbinders Bitty Blossoms and the red heart was cut using a Sissix Heart die.
I stamped the heart with a Papermania stamp using VersaMark and heat embossed with Stampendous fine detail white powder. I then foam padded the heart to the centre of the base and the sides and glued the flowers to the base, in the gap, either side of the heart.
Finished off with a bling heart in the other two corners.
This is the box and tag that I made for the card to go in. The hearts are stamped in red pigment ink and heat embossed in Cosmic Shimmer clear powder.
Hope this one doesn't force you into your sunglasses or welding goggles.
Have a fabulous Friday and wonderful weekend !!!

ReplyDeleteAng, love the simpleness of this, yes there is the heart and flowers on it but its simple and lovely.
Glad you are enjoying the sunshine it's a bit dull here in Dalyan this morning but we are packed ready to leave so makes it easier to do so.
