Good morning everyone. If the forecast was correct, lots of us will be swimming by now but I hope everyone is happy.
Hope those of you with technical issues are getting sorted and Gail, I have a confession. I did smudge the border on my last card, very slightly in one of the corners, hence I blocked the corners off with the marker too. They say confession is good for the soul hahaha !!!
Now, today's card is me continuing on a less is more theme. All card is from PMD.
I started with a 6x6 white card base. I then cut a slightly smaller piece of pink card and ran it through the GC in a Cuttlebug Kassies Brocade embossing folder.
I cut four pieces of Creative Expressions white crochet ribbon and attached them around the corners of the pink card.
The white frame was cut using the second largest and second smallest of the SB Captivating Squares die. The pink centre was cut using the smallest die in the same set, sentiment stamped and heat embossed, and popped into the bottom frame. All foam padded up and stuck to the base card, e voila !!! On reflection, maybe I should have added bling in the corners of the white frames. . . . .perhaps I shall.
Not a tricksy card but sometimes you just fancy beans on toast rather than a full on roast dinner, if you catch my drift lol !!!
Enjoy your day, whether wet or dry.

ReplyDeleteAng, your card is stunning, it may be a less is more as you say but it is perfect, and yes I know what you mean about the beans on toast thing.
Sorry you are having rain, we have missed it so far. Did think you might have long straight hair, our nieces have beautiful straight black hair inherited from their dad being Malaysian.
Have a good day.

Love it, so pretty. My style of card. Xxx
ReplyDeleteGood morning Ang,
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love this card it really floats my boat!!!!
If this beautiful card popped through my door on my birthday I would be "over the moon"
Like Hazel I was rather surprised when you said you had "curly" hair. We are so used to seeing our nieces having a "high gloss" finish to their straight hair.
Have a fantastic day

Hi Ang,
ReplyDeleteno were not paddling in my part of Kent.
Love this card today. What a fab idea the corners done with the crochet. Love the Spellbinders Die used on this too. Beautiful colours and embossing too.
Have a wonderful crafty day.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Hi Ang. I love pink cards and I love beans on toast so I'm one happy person today.
ReplyDeleteRegarding C+C. I was promised a reply by the weekend and the clock's ticking!!!
Have a lovely day whether it's raining or sunny.
Love Val x
Hi Ang, what a pretty card and I love the way you have incorporated the crochet ribbon, very inventive. No rain yet in Suffolk though it's a murky start. Such a contrast after spending yesterday at the beach in Felixstowe which was packed despite the children going back to school. Folk were actually swimming in the sea it was so hot!! Not something you see very often there. Have a nice paddle today, best wishes Jackie
ReplyDeleteExcuse me writing here Ang but I just went to Heather's blog and a notice came up from Blogger that the site has been removed??? Was there yesterday, do you know why??? Jackie
ReplyDeleteHi Jackie
ReplyDeleteSorry, I have no idea what has happened. Her blog was there first thing this morning too as I did a quick blog hop with my coffee and intended to return later to comment along with others I didn't have time to comment on. I have just tried myself and am getting the same message. Mind you it happened to another one of the ladies a couple of months ago and it was a blogger fault. Lets hope this is the same.

Thanks for this, let's hope it is just a blip, best wishes Jackie
DeleteHi Ang,
ReplyDeleteLike you I visited Heather's blog first thing and it was fine although her blog list wasn't there.
Like today's card very less is more and I too quite like beans on toast. No rain yet in my part of Kent but it's come over cloudy.
Have a good day.
