Good morning my little Duckadees. Here's hoping we are all going to bask in a bit of sunshine today before the Arctic conditions arrive on Friday lol!!!
There is a new blogger on the block called Jacquie. She has only just started and like some of us, had a few hiccups. Her cards are beautiful so if you get a chance, pop over to http://jewelscardcraft.blogspot.co.uk and have a peek.
Thanks again for your lovely comments. As you can see, I have been experimenting with the less is more theme recently and as per others, trying to use some dies that I haven't got round to using.
Now, today's card started with cutting a 6x6 card base from PMD white linen card.
I then drew a border using a blue metallic Promarker (did use a ruler as my hand is not that steady lol),
I cut four of the SB Blossoms Two, in four different sizes, out of pale blue and mid blue card. I cut the smallest from the middle of the second largest, if that makes sense and also, I cut a hole in the middle of the second smallest . The middle two were stuck together and then I wrapped some navy organza ribbon around the edges and through the holes in the middle.
Sentiment stamped and heat embossed and everything layered up with foam pads.
That's it for today folks. Hope you have a good one and enjoy that last glimpse of summer lol!!!

ReplyDeleteGood morning Ang. Your card is stunning, I just love the colours and the simpleness of it.
We won't feel the cold snap as much as you all in the south as its been no where near the temps you have had up here, the last two days have been lovely but still need a cardigan on. Even thinking of packing the 3/4 length trousers away.
Have a good day making the most of the heat.

Now that is a clever idea Ang using the flower dies and then not making flowers. So effective. Hope I find you well, best wishes Jackie

Afternoon Ang
ReplyDeleteSorry I am late not intentional.Lot going on today with part of my son's house being flooded, Libby being hurt at school normal sort of day! LOL!. Love the card and the colour blue you have used.
I don't have this die but a very clever use of it. Just shows how if you can view things differently you can make a lot more use of what was essentially a flower die and possibly other dies too.

Hi Ang,
ReplyDeleteGreat card today. I do love your wonderful designs. You always think outside of the box with your fabulous cards.
May have trouble posting on my blog as my iMac is getting old and is in need of a new part just like me lol.
I am commenting on my iPad. It has never been used so much for commenting before. Lol.
Still it has taught me a few things about it I never new so it can't be a bad thing. Lol.
Have a wonderful crafty evening.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Liking this card and the use of the dies - very different and luv the border that you have drawn xx I would have smudged it over the card with the ruler I'm sure - so always impressed when people do things 'free-hand' xx GailT xx
